Congratulations on your recent acceptance!
Please carefully read all information we provide as much of it is critical to your immigration status and your success at OCC.
The first step is to click and print the Post Acceptance checklist for your situation/semester. Please note there are different checklists below for Initial students from abroad, Transfer students, and Transfer students sponsored by SACM. Make sure you print the correct one!
Work through the steps on the checklist and check each box as you complete that task.
Initial Students - Coming to the U.S. from abroad:
Transfer Students - Attending another school in the U.S.:
Transfer Students Sponsored by SACM - Saudi American Cultural Mission:
Enrollment and other Information which applies to all students:
We will send new initial students their acceptance letter and I-20 by regular postal mail or Express Shipping, as you choose (see checklist). Transfer students receive their I-20's in the first few weeks of classes, unless they are travelling abroad before classes start.
The report date in item 5 of your I-20 is the date you must arrive in the U.S. and report to our office by. If you do not get your visa in time to arrive by this date, please contact our office. Special authorization for later arrival requires a detailed written request explaining your situation and Director approval. All travelling students must submit a travel form to our office (see checklist).
There are many ways you can familiarize yourself with the campus before you arrive:
