Orange Coast College's Community Education program will host a FREE Junior Chargers Training camp on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The camp is open to children in grades 2–8 and will emphasize physical fitness and positive choices in a safe and fun environment.
The camp will teach fun NFL skills while encouraging children to "Play60" by getting 60 minutes of physical activity a day. Designed for both boys and girls, participants will run through a variety of non-contact football drills featuring knock-away dummies, ladders and halfback pads just like the Chargers! Campers will jump, juke and sprint their way to the end zone in the offensive drills in the first session — take a quick lunch break — and then do it all over again from the defensive side of the ball.
Each participant will receive a free Chargers t-shirt and fan pack, and a few select MVPs will win a football signed by a top Chargers player.
Registration is open on the College's Community Education website at https://orangecoastcollege.augusoft.net/
Parents also can register kids by calling (714) 432-5880 ext. 1.
