Placement Testing

Due to the state mandated AB 705 bill, our assessment process is going through a transition. In addition to offering placement tests, we will be using high school coursework, grades, and GPA as an option to place students into math and English courses.

Find your initial placement results by checking MyOCC > Student tab > Unofficial Transcript (under Other Student Resources). Your results are determined by your high school coursework, grades, and GPA.

If you did not receive an initial placement or you did not receive your desired results, the English and math placement tests are available. You do not need to make an appointment to take a test - just walk-in, present a photo ID (ex. high school ID, Driver's License, passport or ID card), know your OCC student ID number, and take the test.

All results are valid for 2 years from the original test date.

Note: Test results are only kept on file for 2 years. If your test results are over 2 years old, unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a copy.
