The Assessment Center provides testing services for prospective and current students at Orange Coast College. The college's matriculation plan requires that all students who plan on taking English, English as a Second Language, Math, six units or more and/or pursuing a certificate or degree must be evaluated.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Orange Coast College Assessment Center to provide students with knowledge of their interests and aptitudes to better enable them to formulate their educational goals. When a student knows their English and math skill levels, they will be properly placed, thus increasing their probability of academic success.
Location
The Assessment Center is located on the first floor in Watson Hall in room 110. Watson Hall is located next to parking lot A on the campus map.
Hours
The Assessment Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Placement testing is offered Monday through Friday and some Saturdays by appointment. Appointments for testing can be made in person or by phone. All students must apply to Orange Coast College before taking the placement testing.

- A photo I.D. such as a driver's license
- Know your Social Security number
- A #2 pencil
