COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update as of 5/21/2020:


Orange Coast College Campus is closed out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Virtual counseling services will begin on March 31, 2020, and will continue until further notice. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Counseling Division will begin offering Virtual services on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Virtual services will continue until further notice. Please see below for more information on booking a counseling appointment with General Counseling.

General Counseling Virtual Appointments

General Counseling services at Orange Coast College are in place to help students identify and clarify personal, career, and educational goals.

Scheduled Appointments 

Beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2020, and continuing through the end of the Spring semester (May 23, 2020), virtual appointments may be scheduled online, or by telephone. All scheduled appointments are thirty minutes long (unless otherwise noted), and are based on availability.

AFTER BOOKING, STUDENTS MUST CHECK THEIR OCC STUDENT EMAIL FOR APPOINTMENT INFORMATION. FAILURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL MAY RESULT IN YOU MISSING YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Important Information: 
Students may select either a phone or video appointment when scheduling. If meeting via video, please use either Google Chrome or Firefox browsers and log in from a computer (not a smart phone) with a microphone and web camera.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact our office immediately. You may cancel via phone (714) 432-5078, through your text message reminder, or in person. Please DO NOT cancel an appointment via e-mail.  


Drop-In Counseling

Drop-In Counseling is limited to ten minutes and is appropriate for general questions only. Drop-In Counseling is generally available on Monday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Please call the Counseling Center at 714-432-5078. All students are served on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Drop-In Counseling is not appropriate for transcript evaluation, Student Education Plans or personal counseling, as drop-in Counselors do not have access to your transcript or other student records.

The intent is to help students explore their options and make informed decisions that will improve the quality of their lives.  Our professionally trained counselors are available to assist you with the following:
