Counseling Services

The Counseling Center is located on the third floor of Watson Hall.  Click here for a map of the campus. ​​​​​​Schedule an appointment or check-in for your counseling session at the front counter.


Counseling services at Orange Coast College are in place to help students identify and clarify personal, career and educational goals.  The intent is to help students choose options that will improve the quality of their lives.  Our professionally trained counselors are available to assist you with the following:

  • Educational Planning

  • Career Exploration

  • Personal Counseling

  • Counseling Classes

  • Support Groups

  • Referral Services

  • Transfer Services 


Appointments may be made in person, online or by telephone. Thirty minute appointments are scheduled a week in advance. Each Thursday, The Counseling Center begins scheduling appointments for students for the following week.

Drop-In Counseling

Drop-In Counseling is available for quick questions only. Drop-In Counseling is generally available on Monday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Students are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-In Counseling is limited to ten minutes and is appropriate for general questions only. Drop-In Counseling is not appropriate for transcript evaluation, Student Education Plans or personal counseling.  Drop-In Counselors do not have access to your transcript or other student records.


Beginning Spring semester, Drop-In counseling will be available on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8pm on the first floor of Watson Hall, in the Assessment Center.  To take advantage of this Drop-In counseling time, please check in at the information desk on the first floor.
