Counseling Services

Counseling In-Person Services Update:  
We are online AND back on campus!
Effective August 2nd, 2021 the Counseling office will be open for limited* in-person services on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. 
In accordance with current guidelines, we ask that all unvaccinated individuals wear a face covering in our office. We appreciate your cooperation. 

*Front desk assistance with booking virtual and phone appointments. Limited computers will be available only for scheduled Virtual Counseling Appointments and limited Virtual Drop-In. Counseling services will remain virtual for the time being until further notice.

General Counseling: Virtual Appointments

General Counseling services at Orange Coast College are in place to help students identify and clarify personal, career, and educational goals.  

Scheduled Appointments 

Until further notice, virtual appointments may be scheduled online, or by telephone. All scheduled appointments are thirty minutes long (unless otherwise noted), and are based on availability.

Students are limited to one appointment per week, on any platform (phone, Conferzoom, or Cranium Cafe). 

If the online system says appointments are full, please call the Counseling Center to check availability.

Students may select either a phone or video appointment when scheduling. If meeting via video, please use either Google Chrome or Firefox browsers and log in from a computer (not a smart phone) with a microphone and web camera.

Drop-In Counseling

Drop-In Counseling is limited to ten minutes and is appropriate for general questions only. Drop-In Counseling is generally available on Monday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Please call the Counseling Center at 714-432-5078. All students are served on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Drop-In Counseling is not appropriate for transcript evaluation, Student Education Plans or personal counseling, as drop-in Counselors do not have access to your transcript or other student records.

The intent is to help students explore their options and make informed decisions that will improve the quality of their lives.  Our professionally trained counselors are available to assist you with the following:
