Seven UC campuses offer guaranteed admission to California community college students who meet specific requirements.
By participating in a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, you will receive early review of your academic records, early admission notification, and specific guidance about major preparation and general education coursework. The major advantage is that if you qualify, the chances of you getting into the UC campus you want dramatically increases as you are considered before other applicants.
The process to participate is as follows:
1. Complete the online workshop. http://www.orangecoastcollege.edu/tag/ Once it opens, there is a small white icon on the bottom. Use this to bring up the table of contents. Use this tool to skip schools you will not be choosing (you only end up choosing one), At the end of the video workshop, or by clicking on FINISH on the table of contents (open table of contents on bottom video menu), you will go to a webpage where you put in your information
2. After completeing the online workshop by going to the end or clicking finish and filling in the completion form, you will then be eligible to both schedule a TAG counseling appointment and apply to the state TAG website.
The Deadline to apply is Sept 30th.
3. Lastly, you will need to also apply in the normal application process in addition to your TAG application by November 30th.
