The Common Application for Transfer Students
The aim is to simplify the process of applying to member colleges. You start by selecting the programs you wish to apply to, then you submit one application that includes all necessary materials. Once received by Common App, your application and materials are transmitted to all of your selected programs. As you begin the application process, please follow the steps below.
The Common Application Organization
The Common Application is organized into four tiles; Personal Information, Academic History, Supporting Information and Program Materials.
Common Application School “Offline” Forms:
Offline Forms in the Common App Help Center/ Filling Out Your Common App/ Common App Program Materials section of the Common Application. There are three PDF forms that are not submitted online;
Mid-Term Report, Secondary School Report and College Report.
Many Common Application schools DO NOT require these forms- Do not send unless requested!
Each campus will specify which forms, if any, are required. To find out which forms are needed, check the instructions for each campus. If required, you will need to download and print each. If the College Report is required, see College Report for instructions.

For Common App Questions, email the Transfer Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to a counselor during virtual walk-in hours.
The Common App Help Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can provide guidance or answer questions while going through the process.
