University of California Transfer Admission Guarantee
Orange Coast College transfer students have an excellent opportunity to transfer to a UC campus with a Transfer Admission Guarantee Contract. The TAG program is offered by seven of the UC campuses. However, it is very important for each student to meet with a counselor in order to develop a Student Educational Plan so it includes all the specific criteria for the TAG program.
If you have questions you can visit the Transfer Center during walk-in hours.

How to Pursue TAG
- Use the UC Transfer Admission Planner to complete the TAG application, and review it with your community college counselor and/or UC campus TAG adviser. You’ll need to submit it Sept. 1–30.
- Fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements in your TAG agreement.
- Fill out the application for admission to UC and submit it Nov. 1–30.
Discuss your career goals and the Transfer Admission Guarantee program with your counselor as early as possible.
