104 degrees out and still having a blast at Shanghai Disneyland!
I grew up in Azusa, a city at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. It’s a medium-ish-sized suburb in eastern Los Angeles County, with approximately 45,000 people according to the last census.
My favorite activity growing up—other than watching TV—was reading, so when I went to community college, the only area of study that really interested me was English literature.
People asked me all the time if I was planning to become an English teacher, and my answer was always: No! Even though I still didn’t know what I wanted to do, I felt confident that I didn’t want to become a teacher.
When I returned to school, my studies revolved around—what else?—learning how to be an ESL and writing teacher. Go figure. Sometimes love takes time to warm.
Now, I teach English to students from countries all around the world, and moreover, I also help students from all over Orange County (and beyond!) to succeed here at OCC!
