It is our goal to keep our students, staff and the community as safe as possible while providing continued service during this critical time by limiting exposure to the COVID-19 virus. The Pirates' Cove will be physically closed. But we will be open and available to students starting on March 31th via email and phone. You can reach us virtually via email or voicemail ( / 714-432-6892). We will open available in-person once campus re-opens.

Additionally, there are many food banks and pantries that you can continue to access off-campus. For resources outside of food pantries, please click here to see a list of community resources from OCC Cares. 

Calvary Chapel WestGrove: Food Pantry

Food Distribution

Hours: Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Fridays 3:00 p.m. – 4:50 p.m.

Cool Water Ministries: Mobile Food Pantry*

Must be 13+ years of age.

Hours: Fourth Saturday of the Month 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Fresh and nonperishable grocery items, packages contain 5 days worth of food

Families may receive assistance once every 30 days

OCC's Pirates' Cove Pantry and Resources Hub is available to assist students facing food insecurity and in need of other basic needs. This is a judgment-free zone that can be used by currently enrolled students needing assistance.



  • Access to non perishable and fresh food
  • Linkages to community resources including housing referrals
  • CalFresh application assistance            
  • Basic needs resources
  • Referrals and assistance for students experiencing homelessness
  • Clothing closet with free, gently worn professional clothing


Pirates' Cove is accessible to:

  • Orange Coast College students with a valid OCC identification card
  • Participate in a short orientation 
  • No eligibility forms or proof of income are necessary
