Veteran/Dependent Counseling

OCC is fortunate to have a designated counselor for our veteran & dependent students who has a thorough understanding of the academic progress needed to fulfill your certificate or degree requirements, in addition to the impact that your course selection will have on your benefits. All students who are utilizing G.I. Bill Education benefits are required to meet with this counselor for any changes to their Student Education Plans. While students who are not utilizing benefits are not required to meet with our veteran counselor, all military connected students are welcome to take advantage of this service.

If your question relates to Benefits, please reach out the Certifying Officials first, as the Counselor does not handle certification.

No drop-in hours are currently available. Please check back later or schedule an appointment via the link above.

(when available)

Drop-in counseling is available on a first come, first served basis and is limited and reserved for questions that can be addressed in a short period of time. Students may submit a request any time up to 15 minutes prior to the start and end of drop-in hours. Requests received outside of that time frame will not be accepted.

Requests are required for each drop-in session, per day; if you are not contacted during the session of your request, you will need to submit a new request if interested in drop-in counseling for a different session and/or day. Drop-in requests do not rollover to future dates and do not put you on the waitlist for a regular appointment.
