Being on academic/progress probation can delay your ability to achieve your educational goals. Generating solutions begins with knowledge. The more you know about academic standing, what the college expects of you, and the timelines involved, the easier it will be to craft an effective Action Plan.
Academic standing
is not calculated until students have completed 12 units of Orange Coast College coursework. Then, at the end of every fall and spring semester, the college calculates academic standing.
- A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 in all OCC coursework indicates academic good standing
- When 68% or more of all OCC coursework is completed with grades and not withdrawals, incompletes, or no pass notations, progress good standing is achieved.
