Join MESA
Eligibility
Who can become a MESA Student? We look for the following criteria when reviewing applicants to our program:
- First-generation College Student (your parents/guardians have no bachelor’s degree)
- Financial Aid Eligible at Orange Coast College (FAFSA/Dream Act application on file)
- Pursuing a Calculus based STEM major
- Working towards first bachelor’s degree
- Intends to transfer to a 4-year institution
Expectations
Once in the program, we expect students to hold themselves accountable and keep up with with all program requirements including but not limited to:
- Adhere to the MESA Student Responsibility Agreement
- Follow created Education Plan
- Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act application each academic year
- Continue to meet eligibility requirements
